We’ve had the privilege of enhancing the performing arts facilities at John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School in Perth, Western Australia. In collaboration with JPS Rigging, our venue service team conducted a comprehensive service and audit of the school’s performing arts centre. This project involved a full evaluation of existing AV systems, followed by detailed recommendations for future capital expenditure (CAPEX) on advanced equipment and technology upgrades, aligning perfectly with the school’s strategic educational goals.
Drama and Performance Enrichment: Recognising the significant role drama plays in fostering students’ developmental and educational growth, our AV installations are designed to support and enhance the diverse array of performances hosted at the centre. From kindergarten through to Year 12, students at John Septimus Roe engage in a rigorous drama curriculum, culminating in impressive school productions and musicals such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream and James and the Giant Peach. Our state-of-the-art AV systems ensure that these performances are delivered with professional-grade sound and lighting, elevating the overall quality of productions and enhancing audience experience.
Comprehensive AV Design and Installation: The audit provided by our team included detailed documentation and servicing information, ensuring that all AV equipment is maintained at peak performance. Our strategic planning for equipment upgrades is tailored to the specific needs of the school’s drama department, supporting everything from regular drama classes to the annual major productions and interhouse theatre sports competitions.
Support for Creative Expression: Our AV solutions not only improve the technical aspects of performances but also enrich the educational experience by enabling more dynamic and interactive learning environments. Evident in the wide range of dramatic activities supported by our technology, from in-house performances to biannual trips where students work with the Melbourne Theatre Company to enhance their drama skills. These opportunities are crucial for developing not just theatrical skills but also life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and public speaking.
Fostering Future Talent: By providing a technologically advanced backdrop, we help nurture the talents of young performers and technicians alike. Our systems allow students to explore various aspects of theatre production, from acting and singing to technical roles like lighting and sound operation, set and costume design, all underpinned by high-quality AV infrastructure.
