The Station, South Perth

The Station occupies a heritage-listed building at 3 Mends Street in South Perth, and Technical Alliance delivered the architectural lighting that gives the venue its identity after dark - for client Nokturnl.

Lighting as the venue’s signature

Neon flex traces the interior, full-perimeter LED transforms the basement, and step lighting marks the level changes - safety detailing that also does atmospheric work. Outside, neon flex along the roofline turns the building into its own sign, visible from the street before anyone reads a menu.

Recolourable, not repainted

Every element is controllable and recolourable, so the venue can shift the room to suit a season, an event or a campaign without touching a fixture. For a hospitality operator, that is the difference between a lighting installation and a marketing asset: the room can look like a new venue by Thursday.

Heritage on its own terms

Working in a heritage building means fixings, cable paths and fixture choices negotiated around fabric that has to stay as it is.
