Stories at Yagan Square

For Nokturnl, Technical Alliance delivered the audiovisual technology behind Stories at Yagan Square. Our engagement was worth $8.4 million and ran over eighteen months. It sat within a wider $73 million redevelopment of the Yagan Square precinct in central Perth, which was not our scope.

Three kilometres of light

Three kilometres of custom LED pixel strip run inside and out, with automated mood transitions carrying the venue through its day. The custom solutions behind the experience were designed by our own team and proven in pre-commissioning at Osborne Park.

Several venues, one heartbeat

A precinct at this scale is really several venues sharing one heartbeat - bars, stages, laneways and façades that have to move together from lunchtime trade to a full Friday-night program. The systems were engineered so one operator can run the lot: scenes shift on schedule, zones follow the crowd, and the technology stays out of the way of the room it serves.
